Youth from all over the Greater Capital Region are invited to participate in the Futures Fund Tech Academy Hack-A-Thon Training Event to learn how to participate in our upcoming Hack-A-Thon at JOLTcon in April.

About the event
This free event will be hosted on Saturday, March 11 at Southern University. Free lunch is included for registered participants. At this event, youth aged 12-18 are able to gain the skills to compete in the Hack-A-Thon happening in our upcoming JOLTcon event on April 22. The winners of JOLTcon’s Hack-A-Thon will receive a grand prize. Participants will receive training in teamwork and communication, but other hard skills such as: Skills include:
How to create an idea and write a pitch
Using Canva for creating a brand and marketing
Project Management for bringing an idea to life in a team
Mock websites or app designs to show a concept in a tangible way
