MLK Fest 2025

WHAT IS MLK FEST?

What started out as a 1-day event on MLK Day Monday, January 2015 has grown into a festival of service, spanning the entire weekend of MLK Day. This event was created to revitalize and reactivate neighborhoods in Baton Rouge with the help of volunteers. This year our efforts will be focused on a section of Eden Park.

OneRouge Summit

Discover the Nine Drivers of Poverty with hosts Tia Fields (OneRouge) and Sherreta Harrison (MetroMorphosis).

Baton Roots Green Activity & Giveaway

Join Baton Roots at their flagship Community Farm at BREC Howell Park (5509 Winbourne Ave.) for a gardening volunteer activity and green giveaway.

10 AM - 1 PM

Futures Fund Digital Literacy Summit & Laptop Giveaway

Those new to technology or wanting to strengthen their basic tech skills are invited to participate in The Futures Fund's Digital Literacy Summit! We are giving away 25 laptops to qualified individuals.

Finishing Paint Projects, Garden Bed Refreshes, & Blight and Trash Cleanup.

MLK Fest 2025 Block Party & Resource Fair

11 AM - 2 PM

Hosted with the City of Baton Rouge, join us to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with local entertainment and guest speakers.
