Elevating Youth Development - New Schools for Baton Rouge supports another year of Futures Fund

While Futures Fund is known for building transferrable skills for college- and career-readiness, what is blossoming in the program is our new Mentorship model. After completing either Coding for the Web or Photography tracks, graduates of the courses are able to apply for the Mentorship level. This level is a PAID track of the program, where teens are able to build and grow their passion areas while likewise building leadership skills and confidence.

After hearing the aspects of this level, New Schools for Baton Rouge was excited to help support this program through its Community Impact Grant. NSBR's core belief is that every child deserves a great school - especially those children that have been historically denied access to a high-quality education. Believing that great schools empower educators with the resources they need to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each child, regardless of their background. NSBR strives to break down the obstacles fostered by a broken system, enabling all children to receive an education that unlocks their unique genius and prepares them for the lives of opportunity they deserve.
